Avon Fire Station 144
Avon, Indiana
Meyer Najem recently completed work on the Washington Township of Avon Fire Department Station 144. The 10,217 square foot project broke ground in June of 2021 and was completed on time and on budget. Meyer Najem served as the Construction Manager and also utilized our self-performance team on the project.
The project’s roofing system presented a unique challenge, with both flat (TPO) and shingle gabled roofs. Due to market conditions, the decision was made to utilize expanded polystyrene (EPS) on the flat roofs while installing temporary roofing materials on the gables throughout the winter – allowing the project to stay on track even though the permanent materials didn’t arrive until four weeks prior to completion.
